About Whitney Peeling

Image description

With over a decade in nonfiction book publicity - a combined eight years at Houghton Mifflin and W.W. Norton, and four years as Publicity Director at PublicAffairs - I have run campaigns for emerging and established authors including #1 New York Times bestseller What Happened by Scott McClellan, and bestsellers Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser and Creating a World Without Poverty by Muhammad Yunus.

Since May 2010, after a three-month sojourn in India and Bangladesh, I have worked as an independent publicist with publishers, authors, and mission-driven businesses and nonprofits. Recent clients include Algonquin Books, Farrar, Straus and Giroux, Perseus Books Group, PublicAffairs, W.W. Norton, Gotham Books, historian Lawrence Goldstone (Inherently Unequal), Foreign Policy blogger and Tufts University professor Daniel Drezner (Theories of International Politics and Zombies), Duke University Professor and HASTAC co-founder Cathy Davidson (Now You See It), and literary subscription service Just the Right Book!.
